Limits and locks

The worst days start with one more trade. Better Vest can stop you taking it, on the accounts you choose, and getting out is never locked.

Settings › Risk, and the Execute card’s lock

Daily loss limit

Turn it on in Settings › Risk and set a dollar amount. At the limit, new trades lock until Vest’s day ends at 8 pm New York: LONG, SHORT, REV, LIMIT, the folded bar, the W S E Q hotkeys and Partials. An option locks Vest’s own Buy and Sell too.

Close my positions at the limit (on by default) also closes every open position of that account and keeps you flat until the reset.

The daily loss limit.

Daily profit limit

Off by default. It counts today’s closed trades after fees and funding, read from Vest. At your number, new trades lock until 8 pm New York, so a green day stays green.

The daily profit limit.

Tilt guard

Off by default. A cooldown after a run of losses in a row, or after too many trades in an hour, for as long as you set.

3 losses in a row or 10 trades in an hour: a 15-minute cooldown.

Your own lock

The lock on the Execute card: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour or the rest of Vest’s day, on every account or only the ones you tick. You get 10 seconds to undo a mis-click. After that it can’t be lifted, and the menu lists what’s locked and until when.

Every account.
Only the accounts you tick.

Every account at a glance

Where Vest’s account button was: every account with its value, today, and three bars: what’s left of today’s loss limit, the room above your max loss, and how far you are from the goal. Amber from half used, red from 80%. Search, filters, pins and nicknames, and a click switches accounts through Vest’s own menu.

The same three numbers sit in the thin bar under Vest’s header. Click them for a panel with the line from your floor to your target, today’s loss next to your own limit, and the room in points at your card’s size.

Request payouts

In Manage accounts, Request payouts claims 100% of what your funded accounts have available, all of them or the ones you pick. It shows what each one would claim and what you receive first, then goes through Vest’s own Claim profit window, one account at a time, and brings you back. It stops at the first refusal and tells you why.

Getting out never locks

FLAT, 50%, breakeven, your stops, dragging your TP and SL, and Vest’s own close buttons always work, whatever is locked.

Free, for every Vest trader.
